After a law is adopted by Waller City Council and signed by the mayor, it becomes a City Ordinance. Each ordinance has its own number. You can download and print some of the city's ordinances from the downloads page.
Permits
Construction and moving a building requires a Building
Permit. Below you will find information related to building a home
in Waller.
Building Permit applications are currently only
available at City Hall. However, you can download and print individual permits from the downloads page, and return them to City Hall. For
more information, call 936-372-3880 or 936-931-1042.
Flood Zone Assessment
The City of Waller provides a free go/no go flood
zone assessment, informing you whether your property is in a flood
zone or not.
Before moving a building into the City, contact City Hall by
email or telephone at 936-931-1042. Age and location rules apply
(see below).

Additional Requirements
Off-the-street parking must be provided and pre-approved by the
Superintendent of Public Works before any permits are issued.
One residence per lot (57'x114')
Mobile Homes
Manufactured homes must be 10 years old or newer. For more information
about mobile homes in the City of Waller, download the Mobile Home
Ordinance (TBD).

The narrow side of a lot is considered to be the front.
Mobile homes or frame homes with raised floors must be skirted within
60 days of connection of permanent utility service.
If a mobile or manufactured home, must have serial number.
