Services
Vehicle License Renewal
City Hall can provide license renewal tags for your vehicle to
avoid a trip to the county courthouse. Current renewals only. Any
that are past the renewal month or require new plates cannot be
done by city hall.
Recycling
We provide used oil and filter recycling for Waller Residents Only.
They may be delivered to the recycling center at the city shop.
Assistance provided during business hours. No charge for this service.
Limb Grinding
Tree limb grinding is available for a $25 per hour service fee
based on the time required to grind the limbs. Please contact City
Hall at 936-372-3880 to schedule a time.
City Park
The City park is located at the corner of Main and Fieldstore.
The park has swings, jungle gym, slides and a merry-go-round. It
also has a gazebo and picnic tables for your use. During the holidays,
a tree in the park is dressed in Christmas lights. The Christmas
Parade usually ends there with a visit from Santa Claus.
City History Book
The City commissioned a history book of the City of Waller to celebrate
our 50th anniversary. It contains many pictures and an index cross
reference by name to assist in genealogy research. A fine addition
to a library. It is available at the city hall. Cost is $24.95+tax.
Vacation Check
Stop by the police department before you go on vacation. You can
fill out a sheet listing various information such as who is authorized
to be around your house, what are the dates you will be gone, and
contact information. The information will enable them to keep an
eye on your property while you are gone.
Trash Pick-Up
Notice to all hand-pick-up garbage customers:
City Council accepted a new contract with Allied Waste Services to continue solid waste disposal. This new contract will provide customers with the following:
- One 95-gallon poly-cart with wheels per service address
- Pick-up of One large item per week (set item beside the poly-cart; no loose items will be picked up)
- Pick-up of Five bags or less of leaves or lawn debris (leaves or debris must be bagged, shall not exceed 35-lbs. per bag in weight, and be tied securely)
- Pick-up of bundled items (bundles of tree, shrub, and brush trimmings or newspapers/magazines shall not exceed 4-ft. in length or 50-lbs in weight)
Allied Waste Services will be delivering the poly-carts in February. Please note that each poly-cart is bar-coded, it is to remain with the street address, and is the property of Allied Waste Services. A replacement fee will be charged if a cart needs to be replaced.
New service rates are effective 01-08-07.
Residential - base rate of $15.50
Commercial - base rate of $18.75
